Best In-Person & Virtual Marathons in Montana for 2022
Montana
Montana is the largest landlocked state in the US. It is also known for a few things such as that there are more cattles in the state than people. It goes by several nicknames such as The Treasure State and Big Sky Country. The state of Montana is also known for having two distinctive geographic regions: the Rocky Mountain region and the Great Plains Region. The history of marathon events in the state dates back to 1915 when the first ever Mount Marathon Race was held. Since then, it has become a staple event in Independence Day celebrations in the city of Seward.
