Maryland

Originally inhabited and occupied by Native Americans, Maryland is a city known for its blue crabs and the Chesapeake Bay. It is also the birthplace of the US national anthem. Maryland was pivotal in the history of the US because it played an important role during the American Industrial Revolution and in the Civil War. The state of Maryland is home to various landscapes including beaches, hills, wildlife refuges, mountains, and state parks.
